These Terms of Use govern your use of Tanu (the "app"), a grocery price scanner that compares prices using community-shared data. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Using Tanu
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
- Provide accurate information when you register.
- Use the app lawfully and respect other users. Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service.
Community content
Prices, products, and stores you submit become visible to every signed-in user so the whole community can compare. By adding content, you grant Tanu a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, display, and share it within the app. You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the right to share it.
We may remove content that is inaccurate, unlawful, or abusive. Repeated misuse can result in suspension or termination of your account.
Membership & payments
Tanu offers an optional membership that removes ads and unlocks early access to new features. Membership is billed through the App Store or Google Play and renews automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation and refunds are handled by the store, subject to its policies.
Advertising
The free version of Tanu shows ads served by Google AdMob. Membership removes all ads. See the privacy page for how advertising data is handled.
Disclaimer
Tanu provides price information for guidance only. Prices and verdicts are based on community data and may be incomplete or out of date. We are not responsible for any purchasing decision made using the app. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Termination
You can delete your account and all personal data at any time from the Account screen. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
